Aberystwyth Uni 0 v Bridgend 1
The Ravens made an early start to travel to the beautiful town of Aberystwyth. The home team started at a blistering pace, and the Ravens struggled to adapt to the altitude of the pitch. A multitude of changes from the previous week left Bridgend marginally unsettled. But after a lucky break 1 minute into the game Bridgend rallied under their fearless leader David Knight. The defenders, Rhys Owen, Rob Evans, Andrew Davies Jr and Paul Jones left the Uni team frustrated. Bridgend won the first short corner of the game. As the keeper collected himself from a Rhys Owen drag flick, Nick ‘Antoine’ Anthony collected the ball at the far post and drilled it past the helpless keeper. Bridgend began to play a possession game, not allowing the uni team to run with the ball. The attacks Aber did have were picked off by the defence, the phenomenal reach of Rob Evans, leaving the Aber forwards perplexed as to why they no longer had the ball.
The second half saw Bridgend really up the style, playing their familiar high percentage passing, although they were unable to make decent scoring opportunities. Gareth Coleman showed his pace and ability on one occasion which won a short corner, but Bridgend could not convert. As the game reached its conclusion, Adam Hawas demonstrated why he is the club’s no. 1 pulling off numerous match saving stops. Bridgend sensibly played down the rest of the time with Jon Rubery working tirelessly in midfield, playing the ball between debutant Jack ‘Janis’ Joslin and James Griffiths. After a brief rest, Captain David Knight returned to the helm to steer his team to their second victory and clean sheet of the season.

Bridgend started the second half continuing to play with such prowess and precision through Kris Williams on the right hand side. Further strikes from Andrew Jones and John Catton put the game to bed before a disappointing late consolation Wotton goal to end the match with a convincing 7-1 victory.
Chepstow 3 v Bridgend 2
Despite a strong start from Chepstow, Bridgend eased their way in to the game. Finding a good passing rhythm in midfield. Chepstow had the first score on the sheet, shortly followed by a Bridgend goal from Carys Sheard who scored a spectacular goal form the Raven chicks. Half time talks resulted in a better passing strategy and better defending. Strong work from Georgie Catton rewarded her as man of the match. Again Chepstow scored the first goal of the half which Again was replied by a goal from Brogan Thomas. Bridgend were doing well to keep a draw but Chepstow won a short corner and converted to make it a 3-2 win for the home team.
