Bridgend
Hockey Senior Section ... Bridgend currently have 5 senior Mens sides, and 3 Senior Ladies sides. They also run a Mens Veterans team. Mens The 1st XI currently play in Gerrard Premier Division 3, having gained promotion last year. The 2nd XI ply their trade in Gerrard Severn Division, the highest position they have ever been. The 3rd XI are currently in South Wales Division 2, while the 4th XI occupy a position in South Wales Division 3. The newly formed 5th XI will play in the South Wales Development League. Ladies The Ladies 1st XI play in South Wales Premier Division 2, while the 2nd XI, just 2 seasons after their formation, are currently in South Wales Division 3, having gained promotion last season as champions, notably, alongside our 3rd XI, who finished as runners up. It is hoped that with the formation of the new pitch at Bryntirion, the Ladies section of Bridgend Hockey will go from strength to strength, and only enhance what is already a thriving club, leading the way in Welsh Hockey, helping to put Bridgend at the forefront of the game in Wales. |
