Members Welfare
Bridgend Hockey Club are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment in which all its members can play hockey and socialise. Each member of our Club has a duty of care to assist in ensuring that our sport is seen to be a safe environment for all the family.
If you are concerned about the way a coach, leader, umpire, volunteer, supporter or another player is treating you or someone you know we then we have support systems in place both within the club and also through our Governing Body, Hockey Wales.
The club has a Welfare Officer to whom concerns can be reported. Please report any concerns to Dave Collinson.
If Dave is not available and you believe the matter is serious/urgent, please contact NSPCC on 0808 800 5000 or contact the Police/Children’s Services straight away.
Bridgend Hockey Club supports the Safeguarding policy and Codes of Ethics of Hockey Wales the details of which can be found at http://hockeywales.org.uk/about/safeguarding
